Is Eve listening? An Interactive Learning Tool Designed to Teach Quantum Communication
Abstract
This study proposes an alternative approach to foster student engagement in the educational process by encouraging autonomy and active participation. Game-based elements are employed to introduce topics in modern physics to basic education students, with a focus on fundamental concepts of quantum cryptography. Specifically, the didactic material developed presents the core principles and operation of the BB84 protocol. To facilitate understanding, a board game was created simulating the initial steps of the protocol, including the presence of an eavesdropper attempting to intercept the message.
